QRListy vs. Google Sheets
Google Sheets is free, familiar, and genuinely useful for tracking your own inventory and costs. What it isn't built for is a customer-facing catalog — sharing a raw spreadsheet link looks unprofessional, breaks formatting on a phone, and has no QR code, no images, and no real access control for a password-protected view.
| Feature | QRListy | Google Sheets |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free (10 products), $9.99/mo unlimited | Free |
| Customer-facing mobile view | Designed catalog page, mobile-first | Plain spreadsheet, not formatted for browsing |
| Product images | Built-in image catalog | Manual, breaks layout |
| QR code | Generated automatically | None built in |
| Password-protected dealer view | Dedicated password-protected list | View/edit link sharing only, not a real access gate |
| Bringing in your existing data | Excel/CSV import brings a Sheet's data in directly | Sheets already is the data |
When Google Sheets is the better choice
For internal inventory tracking, cost management, or anything only your own team needs to see, Sheets is flexible and free, and there's no reason to move that off Sheets. QRListy is what your price list becomes once you need customers to actually browse it — the Excel import is the bridge between the two, not a replacement for how you already track your own numbers.
